    Thanks everyone!

I was actually married in this kilt - can't believe that it still fits me after 13 years! My wife is from England (that's where we were married), and her parents are both VERY English - hence I felt compelled to garb myself in the Celtic tradition to have a wee poke at them.

...Incidentally, my missus still bugs me about my dress costing more than hers for our wedding!

    Slainte!

I am actually German, but I was married in a traditional Indian outfit...I always wanted to be an Indian princess and my wedding day seemed like the right time to do it!

I love trad Indian clothes - women look absolutely stunning in sarees. There's a great web site you should go to: www.aimcraft.com where they sell clothes from India. Most of my shirts are the men's short kurtas from this site. I guess I'm a bit of an Indiaphile with the Yoga, Buddhism, Hinduism, mantras, my love of Bollywood films and both modern and traditional Indian music (the Thanksgiving photos on your site made me VERY hungry!).

I love German culture too. Where my family is from in Nova Scotia is around the Lunenburg area which was settled by people from Germany way back (this is where the German portion of my heritage was brought in). We ate a lot of German food when I was growing up, some of which I miss now being a vegetarian.

Over my travels, I have been to both Germany and Austria and fell in love with both places. Thought our plans are to spend a year teaching in India a few years from now, I'd also love to live in Wein or Munchen for a year and teach.

So much living to do, eh?
